چکیده

The effect of anoxia on the fibrinolytic potential of cultured endothelial cells derived from bovine pulmonary artery and bovine lung microvasculature was studied. Both cell types reacted with an increase in plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAl) activity and a decrease in the plasminogen activator (PA) activity in the media after incubation under anoxic conditions. Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis followed by fibrin autography and reverse fibrin autography indicated that the change in fibrinolytic potential was due to an impaired release of PA and not an increase in the production of PAl. Although anoxia did not

Curcumin as an Environmental Potent Antioxidant Decreases Risk of Arthrosclerosis

Background & Aims of the Study: Oxidative stress increases platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) gene expression in endothelial cells that contributes to vascular dysfunction and atherosclerosis. Oxidative stress generates by dys-regulated redox balance between ROS producing systems and antioxidant systems. Also, Curcumin (Cur) as a main part of tur...

Infection kinetics, prostacyclin release and cytokine-mediated modulation of the mechanism of cell death during bluetongue virus infection of cultured ovine and bovine pulmonary artery and lung microvascular endothelial cells.

Bluetongue virus (BTV) infection causes a haemorrhagic disease in sheep, whereas BTV infection typically is asymptomatic in cattle. Injury to the endothelium of small blood vessels is responsible for the manifestations of disease in BTV-infected sheep. The lungs are central to the pathogenesis of BTV infection of ruminants; thus endothelial cells (ECs) cultured from the pulmonary artery and lun...

Effect of Purification of Human Adipose-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells on the Expression of vWF Cell Factor Under Chemical and Mechanical Conditions

Introduction: Human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hADSCs) are easily accessible in the body, and under appropriate conditions, they can be directed toward various phenotypes. Therefore, hADSCs have been considered as a potential cell source for tissue engineering applications. hADSCs are able to differentiate into endothelial cells which covers the interior surface of vessels, in vi...
